Please update AU Lab to the latest version (2.3.1) if you are running Mavericks or Yosemite. I've just recently compiled the project as a universal binary (32/64-bit). "Creator" of the Crossfeed AU component here.

Here are screen captures of the original list, and my modified list: "Cleaning up" the list, and renaming the remaining ones, makes it easier for me to find the related presets. Finally, to make it all work properly, I cleared the AU Cache with Onyx, which restarts the computer afterwards (clearing the cache is necessary). Then I edited the "SYFactoryPresets.txt" text file that lists the presets, and matched the renamed presets' names with the list in the text file. I renamed the preset files in the Finder, and used XCode to change the internal name of each renamed preset (this is a critical step). Then open the folders in the package until you see the "Resources" folder, which contains all the presets and a txt file that lists them. The "TB_Isone_v3.component" has to be opened by selecting "Show Package Contents" from the context menu (right click). You need to use three OS-X utilities (two of which must be downloaded): TextEdit, XCode, and Onyx. First, make sure you have an unmodified copy of the plugin that is kept in another location! I also zipped a backup of the presets and the text file, keeping it within the plugin's "Resources" folder for added insurance.

With the help of the developer, Jeroen Breebaart, I figured out how to remove the presets I don't want (and can't modify), and then I renamed and reorganized the remaining presets. I guess these can be modified with "host" applications for audio processing, but other than Audirvana and AudioHijackPro, I don't have any apps that work with the AudioUnits. A user can create custom presets and save them outside of the supplied list of presets, but you can't delete the supplied presets from within the plug-in component. On my Mac, Isone shows many presets with the name "Program" followed by a number. It's made me realise that most music is designed for speakers and not headphones and so this isn't "cheating" to create a false sound, it's just a way of bringing the sound back to how it was intended. This plugin makes the headphone experience much nicer - there is stil separation and clarity but not extreme. The separation was amazing but ultimately fatiguing. I'm in a similar boat and have recently picked up a decent set of cans (AiAiAi TMA-1 Studio), an HRT Microstreamer USB DAC and started using Audirvance in iTunes integrate mode. It truly is a relief as it takes the edge off of the hyper-real separation of the Audirvana software by itself. With the crossfeed turned all of the way up, it makes the soundstage much more natural and cohesive. It is based on the Boris Mikhaylov's Bauer stereophonic-to-binaural DSP library. It has just a few settings after you activate it in the Audirvana preferences for feed level and for low pass frequency. After a bit of searching, I found a super simple crossfeed audio unit component that you simply put in the library/audio/plugins/component folder. I found the instrument separation to be so intense that I felt the kind of fatigue you can get with too much stereo separation on headphones.
